摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the fatigue strength of a fillet welded joint, and to provide the fillet welded joint, by which demerits of the method utilizing the low temperature transformation expansion of a welded metal and the method for carrying out the peening treatment can be eliminated. SOLUTION: In the method for improving the fatigue strength of the fillet welded joint having a welding end portion, the weld bead forming the welding end portion is formed by the welding metal, which has the transformation starting temperature from austenite to martensite or bainite within the range of 150-350°C, and after welding, the welding end portion is treated by the peening treatment over the at least 10mm range from the end portions of the starting portion of the weld bead and the crater portion.
