PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press line constructed so as to much more improve a production efficiency without increasing a floor space and equipment cost, and which is specialized for the limited production with a wide variety of products. SOLUTION: In the press line for cyclically carrying out a plurality of processes by one press machine, a program is prepared such that a general purpose robot 5 having a swivel arm for carrying out the charge of a blank into the press machine 6 and the take-out of the formed product from the press machine can automatically change holders by accessing a holder storage stand 12 arranged within the working area of the swivel arm of the robot and also a working area for positioning and mounting a partially manufactured product on a conveying apparatus 9 for carrying the partially manufactured product to the press machine is arranged apart from a die changing work area of the press machine. As a result, the work for changing the dies of the press machine and the work for changing the holders or positioning tools of the conveying apparatus can be carried out at the same time. Therefore, the time necessary for changing the set-up can be reduced and the overall operation rate of the press line can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
