WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT METHOD FOR LAKE, MARSH OR THE LIKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water quality improvement method for lakes, marshes or the like which is practical and carried out with simple equipment and treatment using an easily available and inexpensive water quality improvement material. SOLUTION: The water quality improvement method for the lakes, the marshes or the like comprises installing a molding of inorganic fibers containing alkaline earth metal silicate on the bottom of the water or its vicinity in a closed water area such as the lakes and the marshes or in a low water flow area and adsorbing on the molding eutrophication components such as phosphorus eluted from bottom sediment or eutrophication components to be flowed in. The molding of the inorganic fibers is preferably a formed article of rock wool of 100 pts.wt.and cement of 10-300 pts.wt.and is preferably a meshed structure formed by a spray method.
