METHODS FOR MAKING PARTS CAPABLE OF BEING ASSEMBLED FOR COVERING A SURFACE

The invention concerns a method for making parts capable of being assembled to cover a surface wherein an outer layer (10) of the part is secured to a base layer (4) and the part is cut out to dimensions suitable for its being assembled with other parts. The invention is characterized in that the method comprises the following steps: 1). producing an upper frame part (5) including an inner cutout (7) having the shapes and dimensions of the outline of the part; 2) mounting the base layer (4) between the upper frame part (5) and a lower support part (6); 3) forming the outer layer (10) of the part by fitting the strips (3) into the inner cutout (7) of the upper frame part (5); 4) securing the strips (3) and the base support (4); 5) cutting out the frame part (5) and the base layer (4) to match the outline of the inner cutout (7) of the upper frame part (5). The invention is applicable to the manufacture of boat decks with exotic wood such as teak.
