PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a housing from being damaged due to the contact of the housing with a member when the housing is rotated if there is the member projecting out of the housing in a portable terminal unit having a hinge which has a rotating function in a plurality of directions. SOLUTION: The portable terminal unit 1 includes the hinge 30 for rotatably connecting a first housing 10 and a second housing 20, so that the housing 10 and the housing 20 are openable by a first rotary shaft 31. The housing 10 is rotatable in a direction perpendicular to the shaft 31 by a second rotary shaft 32. This hinge 30 contains a rotary structure for constituting a rotation preventing means which can rotate the housing 10 and the housing 20 around the first shaft 31, can rotate the housing 10 and the housing 20 around the second shaft 32 in a state in which the housing 10 and the housing 20 are opened in a range of a predetermined angle, and which prevents the housing 10 and the housing 20 from rotating around the shaft 32 in a state in which the housing 10 and the housing 20 are opened over a range of the predetermined angle, so that the the first housing 10 is not brought into contact with an antenna 23 to prevent them from being damaged.
