Electrically-conductive, abrasion-resistant paint with phenolic resin-based binders and corrosion-inhibiting binder components, for coating metal surfaces, contains (A) electrically-conductive, hard pigments comprising carbides and/or borides of Sub-Group IV-VIII metals and (B) plasticizers. An Independent claim is also included for a paint formulation for coating metal surfaces, with binders based on resorcinol-modified phenolic resins, containing particles (A) as above, polymeric plasticizers (B) and high-boiling organic solvent (C).
