<p>A masking material for use in protecting a given area of a work to be coated so that the area is not coated in painting. It is excellent in heat resistan ce and formability. The masking materials (11, 21, 31, 41, and 51) are made of a polymer alloy comprising an engineering plastic, a polyamide, and a compatibilizing agent. In preparing the polymer alloy, the engineering plast ic is mixed with the polyamide in a ratio of from 20/80 to 80/20 by weight, and the compatibilizing agent is added in an amount of 0.01 to 50 parts by weigh t per 100 parts by weight of the sum of the engineering plastic and the polyamide.</p> |
