<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a flat cable having a flat conductor in insulated covering without need for heating or an connector. <P>SOLUTION: A recessed notched portion 16, of which the width is equivalent to or a little smaller than the thickness of the flat cable, is formed so as to enter the ends of the flat cables 10A, 10B to be connected in the longitudinal direction from respective end edges. With the end edges of both the flat cables 10A, 10B crossing each other, both the flat cables are pressed into the respective recessed notched portions 16 so that an extension portion 18 of the recessed notched portion on the mated flat cable may enter, so as to bring conductive portions 12a exposed to a deep wall of the recessed notched portions 16 on both the flat cables into contact with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
