<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of data in a memory in a model loaded with nonvolatile memory inside a developing device by assuring the contact point contact by having a DC motor for rotary driving loaded on the developing device to be in a servo locked state while a moving contact is abutted to an integrated memory electrode. <P>SOLUTION: In a rotary type color image forming apparatus, the nonvolatile information storing device is provided in a developing device 2, a DC motor 45 is used as a rotary driving means, a contact mechanism which can be abutted to and separated from an information storing device is provided. When the contact point is abutted to the information storing device, the DC motor is servo locked to assure the contact point contact. Therefore, a reliable electrical contact can be realized. In turn, garbled data in the memory due to communication error can be prevented and the reliability of the integrated memory data is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
