PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection fence for quickly absorbing impact energy in a wide range of a protection fence by quickly propagating the impact energy through a strut or the like absorbing it. SOLUTION: This load distribution type protection fence has a plurality of struts C erected in a row, a plurality of rope materials 2, and a strut holder 3 fitted to the struts C to hold the rope materials 2 , whereby when tension higher than a certain level is applied to the rope materials 2, the rope materials 2 are slid. The rope material 2 is stretched between two struts with at least one strut interposed between them, and at least one of support structures at both ends is held by the strut holders 3.
