PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ni-Cr alloy containing a small amount of Zr, which has adequate strength for an application to pipes, structural materials or components of a nuclear power station or a chemical plant, and besides has better stress corrosion cracking resistance to alkali than conventional alloys have. SOLUTION: The Ni-Cr alloy comprises 0.01-0.04% C, 1% or less Si, 0.05-1% Mn, 25-35% Cr, 40-70% Ni, 0.5% or less Al, 0.005% or more but less than 0.03% Zr, 0-0.5% Ti, N in an amount satisfying the expression, 0≤(N/14)-(Zr/91)≤0.0010, and the balance Fe with impurities in which each percentage of P and S contents is 0.015% or less.
