PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold seal adhesive mitigating, preferably substantially eliminating the problems that the mechanical strength of an adhesive layer formed is low, adhesion to a substrate sheet and the surface strength of coated surface are insufficient and cold seal adhesive force might decline. SOLUTION: The cold seal adhesive contains 20-70 wt.% of a modified natural rubber latex obtained by graft polymerization to a natural rubber latex of 0.1-50 pt(s). wt., per 100 pts. wt. of the natural rubber latex, of a monomer comprising a≥6C methacrylic ester compound, wherein the≥6C methacrylic ester compound is preferably at least one kind selected from carboxy-functional methacrylic esters, hydroxy-functional methacrylic esters and amino( including salt form )-functional methacrylic esters.
