PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for tightening a chamber type coke oven, which resists to a pushing force acting on the bottom portion of a carbonization chamber, when coke is pushed out, and flexibly responds to the change of the pushing force. SOLUTION: This apparatus for tightening the chamber type coke oven is characterized by tightening the whole oven body with a back stay 3 and disposing auxiliary oven-tightening devices 11 only for combustion chamber wall-fixing ends at places near to the bottom portion of the carbonization chamber 8. Each auxiliary oven-tightening device 11 comprises at least one of a spring (for example, an oven-tightening spring) and an actuator. The apparatus for tightening the chamber type coke oven is disposed within a range from the bottom portion of the carbonization chamber 8 to≤30% of the height of the carbonization chamber wall. The force for lightening the auxiliary oven-tightening devices 11 is controlled on the basis of the information of the coke-pushing force. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
