<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for generating a recording signal for recording to a disk so as to minimize the jitter of a signal. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus records the starting part of a pit at a power level decided from the length information of a blank before the pit, and records the end of the pit at a power level decided from the length information of the pit. When the blank is longer, a starting level is made to be high and when the length of the pit is long, the level of a terminating part is made to be low. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
