POROUS THIN FILM ELECTRODE AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY USING THIS AS NEGATIVE ELECTRODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous thin film electrode for lithium secondary batteries which have improved battery capacity and cycle characteristic, and high rate characteristic.

SOLUTION: This porous thin film electrode comprises a collector composed of a material not alloying with Li and a thin film which is composed of Sn or an alloy containing Sn and formed on the collector by an electroplating method. Thin film is a mesoporous material having a density of 3 g/cc or more and 5 g/cc or less.
