PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device wherein a rechargeable battery can be charged without burdensome connection, and the output of a portable reproducing device is enjoyed by an operation in a charger stand side. SOLUTION: When a portable reproducing device 1 is loaded on a charger stand 2, the portable reproducing device 1 is charged, performance by the portable reproducing device 1 is reproduced through a speaker. By loading, the potential of a control input terminal 28 is changed without operating any operation buttons of operation button groups 10, 3, and a control means 21 detects the loading of the portable reproducing device 1 on the charger stand 2. Then, even when a hold button 14 is ON to disable the operation of the portable reproducing device 1 by the operation button group 10, the control means 21 executes control to enable an operation by the operation button group 3 of the charger stand 2, and an operation similar to that of each button of the corresponding operation button group 10.
