PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially stretched polyester film which is enhanced in tear opening properties and design properties without damaging the excellent mechanical stength, transparency, heat resistance, dimensional stability, gas barrier properties, oil resistance and solvent resistance of the biaxially stretched polyester film and can be produced at a low cost. SOLUTION: This laminated polyester film comprises a layer (A-layer) comprising a polyester raw material containing copolymerized polyethylene terephthalate and a polyester layer (B-layer). The melting point of the A-layer is not higher than 240°C and the melting point of the B-layer is not lower than 245°C. The tensile breaking strength of the laminated polyester film is 40-220 MPa.
