PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the state of contact of a cell and to provide a battery module in which light weight can be achieved while maintaining vibration resistance. SOLUTION: The battery module is provided with a chassis to which one surface of the cell is brought into contact, the cell which is installed facing the chassis and in between the chassis and a retaining plate, and a fixing tool fixing the chassis and the retaining plate. Thus, the state of contact of the cell is improved and light weight can be achieved while maintaining the vibration resistance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
