PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid degradation of a working factor by software update of an electronic device. SOLUTION: This mediation device 101 of the electronic device writes an update date/time in a storage means when obtaining the update date/time from a management device 102; requests transmission of firmware (software) to the management device 102 when the update date/time is reached; writes the firmware in the storage means when obtaining the firmware from the management device 102 in response to it; and thereafter transmits the firmware to an image formation device 100 requiring the firmware update to update the firmware. Alternatively, the mediation device writes the firmware and the update date/time in the storage means when obtaining the firmware and the update date/time from the management device 102; and transmits the firmware to the electronic device requiring the firmware update to update the firmware when the update date/time is reached.
