PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize more unique incoming call melody by analog sound than incoming call melody by electronic sound, in a telephone unit. SOLUTION: A fixed telephone unit 2 comprises an incoming signal detection section 12 connected to a telephone line 1, a control unit 13, an incoming information transmission section 14, an analog sound reproduction section 15, a call circuit 18, and a handset 16. When the incoming signal detection section 12 detects an incoming signal that is input via the telephone line 1, the control unit 13 outputs configured incoming information to the incoming information transmission section 14, and the incoming information transmission section 14 transmits the information to the analog sound reproduction section 15. The analog sound reproduction section 15 notifies a called party of a call by the incoming call melody of analog sound, by receiving the transmitted incoming information and reproducing the analog sound.
