PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitarily excellent sanitary paper and a method for producing the same, and to provide an inexpensive disposable absorbent material using the sanitary paper and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The method for producing the sanitary paper comprises coating a tea concentrate or a solution containing the tea concentrate to a wet paper followed by drying, or the method for producing the absorbent material comprises a step providing a water-absorbing material layer comprising a water-absorbing material and a highly water-absorbing resin on a 1st sanitary paper and then laying a 2nd sanitary paper on the above layer; wherein either one of the 1st or the 2nd sanitary paper contains the dried product of tea concentrate.
