PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator advantageous in achievement of high sensitivity and a wide band, and simplification of the configuration. SOLUTION: The actuator 100 is provided with a movable member 3 for holding an objective lens 1, a focusing coil 4 wound on the movable member 3, a first and a second tracking coils 51 and 52 wound on the movable member 3, a suspension base 8, four suspension members 71, 72, 73 and 74, first to fourth permanent magnets 91, 92, 93 and 94, a yoke member 10, an attaching base 11, and the like. The first and second yokes 1008 and 1010 of the yoke member 10 are disposed with an interval in an X-axis direction holding the optical axis of the objective lens 1 within the contour of the focusing coil 4 when seen from the axial center direction thereof.
