PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of communications in configuring such a communication system in which certain communication equipment transmits an operation request to a plurality of pieces of communication equipment and receives operation responses to the operation request. SOLUTION: A mediation device 101 for mediating communications between a management device 102 and a plurality of image forming devices 100 receives an operation response to an operation request from the management device 102 from each of the image forming devices 100 and collectively transmits each of the received operation responses as a communication request to the management device 102. The mediation device 101 also collectively receives a plurality of operation requests from the management device 102 to the image forming devices 100 as a communication response to the communication request, divides the respective received operation requests into each operation request and transmits the operation request to an image forming device 100 to be its destination according to destination information included in each operation request.
