PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure strength of a spindle part 13 on a fixed member 14 while reducing size of packaging as the whole body of an auto tensioner. SOLUTION: In the fixed member 14, a thick part 51 as a reinforcement part is provided on the opposite side of a direction in which the maximum bend stress of bending the spindle part 13 at a base end part during belt tension adjustment is applied to a spindle part center axis 13a.
