PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing and classifying machine capable of crushing in almost all the range of a crushing zone by improving rotary bodies and performing friction crushing in both sides of each rotary body so that a large amount of materials can be treated in a short period of time, and to attain super-fining of the product powder. SOLUTION: This crushing and classifying machine is provided with rotary bodies 4 and 5 for crushing and classifying raw material in a casing 3 where a cylindrical crushing zone 1 and a tapered crushing zone 2 are communicated with each other. Both rotating bodies 4 and 5 are rotated at high speed to crush the raw material in the crushing zone 1 by friction, and the crushed material is classified into fine and coarse powders. The fine powder is discharged to the outside and the coarse powder is returned to the crushing zone 1 for re-crushing. Blades of the rotary bodies 4, 5 provided in the crushing zone 1 are formed into the shape of distributing the raw material flow to both sides by slanted faces a, b, to perform friction crushing on both sides of the respective rotary bodies 4, 5.
