PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable caloric depletion measuring instrument equipped with a three-dimensional acceleration sensor capable of easily determining whether or not daily exercises are proper for depleting a target caloric amount within predetermined days. SOLUTION: When performing the exercises according to a caloric depletion menu which is inputted by a user himself/herself or acquired from a server on a network and stored in the instrument for depleting the target caloric amount within the predetermined days, after the lapse of arbitrary days from the start of the exercises to the lapse of the predetermined days, a target total caloric depletion amount based on the caloric depletion menu from the start of the exercises to such a time point is compared with a measured total caloric depletion amount. In accordance with a degree of separation of the measured total caloric amount known by the comparison from the target caloric depletion amount, one of preset divisions to which the degree of separation belongs is determined, and the determined result is indicated to a user by a transmission tool which is determined for each division and does not require medical words and predicates.
