<p>The plant has /-1 composting bay into which the material is heaped in layers, to be rearranged according to its age, it is aerated as a result of pressure or suction using a controlled quantity of air, which is recirculated. The quantity of air is increased until the temp. of the material reaches a predetermined max. value. From this point, on further temp. increase or the redn. of oxygen concn. below a given value, additional fresh air is supplied. The method minimises the quantity of outgoing air and emissions.
