<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaning device capable of providing a high smoke separating effect without enlarging it or giving an intimidating feeling to a smoker by providing a screen on an air cleaning device body so as to facilitate the separation of a smoking space and a nonsmoking space, and to form a circulating flow for returning part of exhaust air to a suction port by use of the screen without forming an air curtain. <P>SOLUTION: Part of purified air is blown out sidewards from a circulating exhaust port 9 and collided to the lower inner surface of a flap 11 to form an ascending flow. The exhaust airs carried from both sides along the inner surfaces of flaps 11 and 12 are mutually collided in the center of the flap 12 to form a descending flow. This descending flow is not carried vertically downward but carried obliquely downward toward a suction port 6 because the pressure is lower as it is closer to the suction port 6, and sucked through the suction port 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
