<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device which reduces a load of image processing on the host computer side without a large cost increase at the printer side and has a high throughput, and also to provide a printer. <P>SOLUTION: The printing system comprises an image processing program installed in a host with a memory part, and the printer for printing images to a printing object by controlling a printing head and discharging ink from nozzles formed at the head. After image data is stored in the memory part, the image processing program extracts as a predetermined pattern from the image data, gradation data of nozzles at the time when the printer prints, and transmits the gradation data of nozzles to the printer. The printer binarizes the gradation data after carrying out a color conversion from a color space of the received gradation data of nozzles to a color space of ink to be discharged from the nozzles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
