<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition having excellent permeability on a print, good fixing properties of an ink just after printing and carrying out printing on a wide range of printing media with slight bleeding or disorder of a printed image and printing on plain paper without cockling. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises at least a colorant, a dispersing agent and a solvent. The ink composition is characterized as comprising a hydrocarbon solvent in an amount of 55-95 wt.% based on the whole solvent as a main solvent and an ester derivative of an alkylene glycol or a polyalkylene glycol as another solvent. Furthermore, the ester derivative of the alkylene glycol or the polyalkylene glycol is especially at least one selected from a monoalkyl ester compound, a monoalkyl ether monoalkyl ester compound or a dialkyl ester compound of the (poly)alkylene glycol in the ink composition of the constitution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
