<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil which saves a manufacturing cost by reducing the number of components and prevents it from becoming rusty without defining the kind of an ink and also a surplus ink supply from occurring to inhibit the ensuing contamination. <P>SOLUTION: This writing utensil comprises an ink tank 2, a forward barrel 10 fitted to the tip part of the ink tank 2, a retractable pen core 20 which is supported by the forward barrel 10 and receives the ink 1 from the ink tank 2 and a valve mechanism 30 which adjusts the flow of the ink 1 to the pen core 20 from the ink tank 2. The valve mechanism 30 is structured of a receiving piece 31 positioned on the tip part side of the ink tank 2 and an elastically deformable intermediate piece 33 which opens a flow path 30 of the ink 1 to be supplied to the pen core 20 following the recession of the pen core 20 and regulates the surplus supply of the ink 1 during writing and closes the flow path 39 of the ink 1 to be supplied to the pen core 20 from the ink tank 2 following the advance of the pen core 20 during not writing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
