<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-saving lighting device for setting an irradiation luminous flux with uniform and high brightness into an intended direction with an intended open angle. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device comprises a rod-shaped light guide body 20, a luminous flux irradiation part formed at the side surface in a length direction of the light guide body 20, and a light source formed on at least a part of the light guide body 20 having a relatively small light emission area compared with the luminous flux irradiation part.
