PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of speedily performing mass spectrometry of a large number of samples and a method of speedily analyzing biomolecules such as nucleic acids and proteins.

SOLUTION: The solid support is provided with a carbon layer on the surface. The method performs mass spectrometry of a plurality of substances by separating substances in the sample by gel electrophoresis, immobilizing the separated substances in a gel by transferring them to the solid support, and applying desorption/ionization to the substances immobilized on the solid support.
