摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide puff snack confectionery made by swelling white sorghum; and to provide a method for producing the confectionery. <P>SOLUTION: The puff snack confectionery is obtained by swelling saltwater-added white sorghum. The white sorghum is matured for 13-18 hours after addition of salt, and comprises refined granules. The method for producing the puff snack confectionery comprises the following processes: a process of adding saltwater to white sorghum and maturing the mixture for 13-18 hours; a process of swelling saltwater-added white sorghum using an extruder; and a process of drying swollen product of white sorghum. In the process of maturing the white sorghum for 13-18 hours after adding saltwater to the white sorghum comprises adding 1.25 kg saltwater having concentration of 2-6.5 wt.% based on 50 g white sorghum so that the white sorghum has a water content of 12.5-13.5 %. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
