<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst member which has a low surface adsorptivity, can exhibit a photocatalytic activity even in weak ultraviolet rays in a room, and does not damage the transparency and designability of a substrate surface. <P>SOLUTION: The photocatalyst member is produced by forming a coating film containing a strontium titanate precursor on the surface of a substrate and thermally treating the coating film at 550°C or higher. Under the irradiation with ultraviolet rays contained in sunlight or room light, the coating film is photoexcited to clean its surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
