PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and image processing method for generating a composite real space image by superimposing the image of a real space and the image of a virtual space. SOLUTION: A graphic card 130 uses data indicating the state of a virtual space, 3DCG data loaded from an HDD 123 to a memory 122 and data indicating the position attitude of a video camera 140 to plot a virtual space image following the position attitude of the video camera 140 on the memory 122. Then, the graphic card 130 acquires a real space image photographed by the video camera 140. The graphic card 130 superimposes the acquired real space image on the virtual space image plotted on the memory 122 to generate a composite real space image on the memory 122, and outputs it to a monitor 150. When a shutter 160 is depressed, the composite real space image plotted on the memory 122 is outputted to a printer 170, and the composite real space image is printed on a recording medium such as paper or an OHP.
