PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated circuit and a physical quantity detection system, which can perform inspection/adjustment under a variety of conditions (low temperature, high temperature, high pressure, high electric field, high magnetic field, and high electromagnetic field). SOLUTION: The physical quantity detection system is composed of a physical quantity detection element 1 in which the output signal is varied according to the variation in the physical amount to be measured and a correction integrated circuit 2 which corrects the sensitivity, the zero point, the temperature characteristic, and so forth of the output signal of the physical quantity detection element 1. The correction integrated circuit 2 is composed of a correction circuit 3 which performs the correction process of the output signal of the physical quantity detection element 1, a communication circuit 8 which communicates with the outside of the physical quantity detection system, a signal generator 5 which varies an internal signal of the correction circuit 3, on the basis of the information from the communication circuit 8, an observation circuit 6 which observes the internal signal of the correction circuit 3, on the basis of the information from the communication circuit 8 and which transfers the observation information to the communication circuit 8, a writing circuit 7 which performs a writing process on a PROM 4, on the information from the communication circuit 8, and the PROM 4 storing the correction amount of the correction circuit 3.
