PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly versatile wrench having a bidirectional clutch mechanism for rotating a substantially cylindrical member by selecting one direction of both directions without changing front and back sides of the wrench, having a simple structure, and coping with a change even if the size of the member is changed. SOLUTION: This wrench has a holding part 11 having an inner peripheral surface 12 for housing the outer periphery of a fastening member, a lock member 14 movably held in the peripheral direction in a specific range, a play area formed on the inner peripheral surface 12 and moving the lock member 14, wedge areas arranged on the peripheral directional both sides for sandwiching the play area and projecting the lock member 14 from the inner peripheral surface 12, coil springs 22A and 22B for energizing the lock member 14 to the wedge area from the play area and switching parts 23A and 23B for switching energizing directions of the coil springs 22A and 22B so that the lock member 14 moves to either of the wedge areas.
