The lock for preventing unauthorized adjustment of a valve on a gas supply comprises a cap (1) which fits over its top. A U-shaped stirrup (6) fits around the base of the valve and has threaded ends (7) which fit through internal collars (5) on tubes (4) mounted on either side of the cap. Nuts (8) are screwed on to these which can only be released using a key.
