PURPOSE: A mobile phone having an engaged memo function is provided to allow a user to directly take a memo such as a phone number on a mobile phone and stores it while talking on the phone. CONSTITUTION: A memo conversion mode(10) converts into a memo-available mode. A controller(20) maintains a call state according to an operation of the memo conversion mode and controls a general operation of a mobile phone to edit character memo inputted according to manipulation of character and numeric keys. A display unit(30) displays a character memo edited by the memo mode conversion on a screen under the control of the controller(20). A memory unit(40) stores the memo edited by the memo mode conversion.
