912,808. Charging and discharging capacitors. MULTIBLITZ-GERATE Dr. ING. D. A. MANNESMANN GES. FUR. Feb. 9, 1959 [Feb. 8, 1958], No. 4384/59. Class 38 (4). In a photographic flash-lamp circuit in which a weak periodic flash for focusing is produced in addition to the main single flash, the main storage capacitor 5 is charged through a resistor 4 and voltage stabilizer 3 from a compensating capacitor 2, from which is tapped the supply to a flashing capacitor 7 through a resistor 6. The capacitor 2 compensates for fluctuations in load produced by the continuous flashes. The supply is derived from A.C. mains through a transformer and rectifier unit 1. A switch 8 connected to the lamp 9 selects the type of illumination required. The capacitor 5 is preferably 100 times the size of the capacitor 2, which is preferably about twice the capacity of the capacitor 7. Specifications 912,807 and 912,809 are referred to. |
