<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing expanded material capable of controlling size of bubbles in the expanded material. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises a step applying a solution containing a polymer, a foaming agent and a surfactant, on a substrate, and a step generating bubbles using the foaming agent before or after the application step. The surfactant is selected whether the critical cohesion concentration substantially corresponds to the concentration of the midway point of the dynamic surface tension curve, and the surfactant has a low static surface tension or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
