<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording paper having a porous layer composed of a hydrophilic binder and a fine particle which hardly generates cracks during manufacturing even when the layer is rapidly applied to the surface of a support, with other advantages such as high resistance to bending or the like after the manufacture and high air gap, ink absorption and resistance to water/bleeding. <P>SOLUTION: This ink jet recording paper has the porous layer composed of a binder containing a hydrophilic polymeric compound crosslinked between the side chains of a main chain by irradiating the polymeric compound having such a main chain and a polymerization degree of not less than 300, with ionizing radiation and the fine particle, formed on the support. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
