<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of reducing power consumption by optimizing the weight balance of an elevator car and a counterweight for the number of passengers that the elevator has most frequently. <P>SOLUTION: The elevator device has an elevator car 6 moving up and down in an elevating passage, a counter weight 7 lighter than the total weight of a tare of the car 6 and the weight equivalent to 50% of riding capacity, a main cable 5 with one end connected to the car 6 and the other end connected to the counterweight 7, a hoist 3 having a drive sheave 3a driving the wound cable 5, and a control device 8 changing the acceleration and deceleration of the elevator depending on the riding load of the car 6 and controlling the output of the hoist 3 within a prescribed range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
