PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner fixing member by which elastic effect is uniformly exhibited even in the case of a relatively thin outermost layer of fluorinated carbon resin and a toner image of extremely high image quality is obtained after fixing, in the toner fixing member formed from a layer of silicone rubber and the outermost layer of fluorinated carbon resin in order to attain the elastic effect. SOLUTION: The toner fixing member comprises the layer of silicone rubber which has a thickness of 50μm or more and the outermost layer of fluorinated carbon resin which has a thickness of 30μm or less. The surface roughness Rz of the layer of silicone rubber is controlled to 1μm or less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
