PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily inspect a subject desired to inspect a leakage condition, by anyone, irrespective of a level of the leak, by simple constitution. SOLUTION: This detector 70 comprises an odor generator 50 for feeding a smelling gas 52 into the inspecting subject 60 together with compressed air under the presence of the subject 60 desired to inspect the presence of the leak, a collection rod 75 for sucking the gas when the smelling gas 52 is leaked from the inspecting subject 60, and a detector body 71 connected thereto to detect the leaked gas. A connection part 72a connected to the collection rod 75, and a tip part 72 formed with an opening part 2b opened to suck easily the leaked smelling gas and having an area wider than that of an inside of the connection part 72a are connected to a tip of the collection rod 75.
