摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover and recycle fluorescent materials containing expensive rare resources of rare earth elements, from panel characteristic-rejected panels in a process for manufacturing plasma display panels (PDP) and from life-ended panels. <P>SOLUTION: This method for recycling the fluorescent materials for the plasma display panels (PDP) comprises removing the fluorescent materials from back side substrates containing the fluorescent material layers of the PDPs, utilizing the specific gravity difference of the fluorescent materials to separate a blue fluorescent material from a mixture of a red fluorescent material and a green fluorescent material, further utilizing the charging characteristics of the fluorescent materials to separate and sort the red fluorescent material from the green fluorescent material, and then performing a recycling process comprising a thermal treatment to recover the deterioration of the brightness characteristics of each fluorescent material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p>
