摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing an electrode of higher electron emission efficiency and superior durability, and to provide a thermal power generation device using the electrode. SOLUTION: An electrode manufacturing device 200 comprises an orientation growing means 210 which orientation-grows a plurality of carbon nanotubes 22 almost orthogonal to the surface of a specified growing substrate 23; a conductive substrate forming means 220 which inserts the tip 22a of the carbon nanotube orientation-grown by the orientation growing means into a dissolved conductive material 21a, and then cures the conductive material to form a conductive substrate 21; and a separating means 230 which separates the carbon nanotube from the growing substrate. By this constitution, electrons (e) are emitted with high efficiency, a resistance value is lower, a current is easy to flow, and the emission efficiency of electron is improved.
