PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide color toners for flash fixation good in overall color reproducibility and having a wide color reproduction range and to provide an image forming apparatus using the color toners. SOLUTION: Each of color toners fixed on a recording medium with flashlight includes a binder resin, an IR absorbent and a colorant. When C. I. Pigment Yellow 180 or C. I. Pigment Yellow 185 is used as the colorant in the yellow toner, C. I. Pigment Violet 19 is used as the colorant in the magenta toner, and C. I. Pigment Blue 15 is used as the colorant in the cyan toner, green of the IR absorbent is lost and the objective color toners good in each color reproducibility and in overall color reproducibility and having a wide color reproduction range are obtained.
