PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an influence upon images of noise of communication among a plurality of CPUs. SOLUTION: A system control CPU and an image processing CPU communicate with each other through a serial communication line to perform processing in cooperation with each other. Though the system control CPU and the image processing CPU communicate with each other at a high speed, the communication speed is set to a low speed in response to depression of a release button at the time of exposure start and is kept low till the end of digital conversion of a photographic signal in the case that a photographic sensitivity is set to a high sensitivity susceptible to noise.
